The vineyard project began on a roughly 10-hectare limestone-slope site; the Chardonnay vines were planted in the mid-1940s and mid-1970s. The vineyards are farmed organically, with cover crops and inter-vine cultivation used to restore balance. Winemaking takes place at the Dancers’ Chassagne cellar.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eWorth knowing\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe label reads Vin de France, not Mâcon-Bray, though the fruit is all from the Mâconnais. That choice buys more freedom over picking dates.
