THE STORY

About this wine

Estate-grown Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from the 2025 vintage — a fresh, herbal nose of chervil, dill, and red capsicum over mango, guava, and passionfruit, then a juicy palate of grapefruit, lime, and pineapple on crisp acidity, wet stone, and a clean dry finish.

Allan Scott Family Winemakers was established by Allan and Catherine Scott in Marlborough in 1990 and is now managed by the next generation, Josh and Sara Scott. The 2025 vintage had a cool early summer followed by warm, dry conditions and cool nights, allowing extended ripening and healthy fruit.

Worth knowing

The winemaking stays out of the way. The 2025 fruit was picked in the cool of the early morning and cool-fermented in tank, with no oak and no malolactic fermentation — the fresh Marlborough character left to speak for itself.

CHARACTERISTICS AND TASTING TIPS OF THE Allan Scott Sauvignon Blanc 2025

Tasting

Color: White in the glass.
Nose: An expressive, fresh nose: chervil, dill, and red capsicum lead, with mango, guava, and passionfruit right behind. Underneath sit green apple, honeydew melon, white berries, currant leaf, white flowers, and crushed stone.
Palate: Juicy and vibrant: grapefruit, lime, green mango, pineapple, and passionfruit at the core, with touches of cape gooseberry and lemon zest. Crisp, crunchy acidity sits over a delicate frame, wet stone runs underneath, and it finishes dry and lingering.
