THE STORY

About this wine

Rich, ripe Barossa Valley Shiraz from 2023, plush and concentrated — vibrant red plum, blackberry and black pepper on the nose, dense yet soft fruit tannins under a velvety texture, dark chocolate and smoked cedar behind the fruit. Dry, 14.0% ABV.

The 2023 growing season began with a warm, dry spring; dry flowering conditions moderated vine growth and fruit set, while March rain and cooler temperatures helped preserve vibrant fruit character. Vineyard blocks were harvested and vinified separately, with destemming, pre-fermentation maceration, controlled fermentation of up to seven days, malolactic fermentation, and 12 months of French and American oak maturation.

Worth knowing

The 2023 didn't come in all at once — picking ran from April 3 to April 26, with every vineyard block harvested and vinified separately.
