THE STORY

About this wine

Dry, structured, medium-bodied Sangiovese from an organic Chianti Classico estate — ripe cherry and red plum up front, floral notes and vanilla behind, bright acidity at 14% alcohol, a persistent finish. Serve it around 15–18°C with savory food.

Castello di Bossi is a historic estate in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the southern Chianti Classico area. The estate has been owned by the Bacci family since 1984, is fully organic, and uses renewable solar energy. This 2023 is the estate’s Chianti Classico DOCG annata, with the wine’s first vintage reported as 1961.

Worth knowing
