THE STORY

About this wine

Dry, still, 100% Pinot Noir from the Eola-Amity Hills of the Willamette Valley — the 30th vintage of Cristom's flagship, and the first drawn entirely from estate fruit. Rose and lavender over tart cherry and raspberry, with savory mineral, tea, and spice underneath, fresh acidity, moderate tannins, and a dry, structured finish at 13.5% ABV.

The 2024 vintage is the 30th vintage of Cristom’s flagship Mt. Jefferson Cuvée and the first made entirely from 100% Estate fruit. It was harvested September 9–October 2, 2024, during an early, compressed harvest after a warm, dry summer, and was estate bottled on August 15, 2025. The wine was produced from hand-harvested and hand-sorted grapes, fermented with 43% whole clusters and 100% native yeast, then aged 11 months on its lees in French oak (16% new); it was bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Worth knowing

Not every wine earns a nickname. Thirty vintages on, this one goes by Mt. Jeff — the 2024 is the 30th-anniversary bottling, and the first made entirely from estate fruit, all off four Cristom vineyards.

CHARACTERISTICS AND TASTING TIPS OF THE Cristom Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Estate Pinot Noir 2024

Tasting

Color: Dark red in the glass, clear from center to rim.
Nose: Pronounced rose and lavender lead, over blue fruit, plum, and dried strawberry. Black raspberry, violet, and cigar box fill in behind, with an earthy, stony mineral thread running beneath the florals.
Palate: Medium-plus in body, round and balanced, with fresh acidity doing the lifting. Tart cherry, raspberry, and lingonberry lead, cranberry and pomegranate close behind, and the savory layers build underneath: black tea, mushroom, stone dust.

Pairs Beautifully With

A must try with pan-seared duck breast with a tart cherry sauce
A must try with wild mushroom risotto
A must try with cedar-planked salmon
