THE STORY

About this wine

Precise, silky brut Champagne — crystalline freshness, aromatic complexity, graceful intensity, and a harmonious finish that stays fruity.

Deutz is a Champagne house founded in Aÿ in 1838. Brut Classic is the house’s first cuvée crafted each year and is a non-vintage blend of selected harvests.

Worth knowing

Deutz starts every year with this bottle — Brut Classic is the first Champagne the house crafts, and its blend is rebuilt each year without a vintage, keeping the house style intact.

Blend

  • Pinot Noir 38%
  • Pinot Meunier 32%
  • Chardonnay 30%

CHARACTERISTICS AND TASTING TIPS OF THE Deutz Brut Classic

Tasting

Color: Deep, intense gold in the glass. The bubbles are extremely fine.
Nose: Hawthorn and white flowers lead, with toast and marzipan behind them and ripe apple and pear emerging — a ripe white-fruit cast over all of it.
Palate: Full-bodied, and elegant anyway. The Chardonnay keeps it fresh, the Pinots supply the richness, and the texture runs silky into a rounded, fruity finish — ripe apple and citrus carry through, with a touch of minerality at the close.

Pairs Beautifully With
