THE STORY

About this wine

A dry, high-acid Côtes de Provence rosé from Domaine de l'Abbaye, pale and crisp. The 2023 blend of Syrah, Cinsault, Rolle and Grenache opens on white-flower aromatics, then peach, melon and red-berry fruit, grapefruit and lemon for freshness, and a light saline-mineral edge.

Grand Beylesse Rosé 2023 is a Côtes de Provence AOP rosé associated with Domaine de l’Abbaye and Vignobles Chevron Villette. The wine is HVE3-certified; grapes are hand-harvested at night, sorted, and vinified by gravity using the saignée method without pressing. The official product page labels the wine 2023, although its characteristics section inconsistently says “Vintage: 2022.”

Worth knowing

The unusual cobalt-blue, indigo-tinted glass is there for a reason: it's designed to shield the wine from UV light and help preserve its freshness.

Blend

  • Syrah 40%
  • Cinsault 25%
  • Rolle 10%
  • Grenache

CHARACTERISTICS AND TASTING TIPS OF THE Grand Beylesse Rosé 2023

Tasting

Color: Pale pink, shading toward a pinky-salmon hue.
Nose: Freshly cut white flowers lead, with strawberry, raspberry, peach and melon layered over citrus and passion fruit. Underneath sit Provençal herbs and a cool mineral note.
Palate: Fresh and fruit-driven, melon, grapefruit and lemon up front, cranberry, pomegranate and berry fruit behind. A clear mineral thread and a touch of salt run right through, and a subtle creaminess rounds the finish.

Pairs Beautifully With

A must try with Provençal seafood stew with rouille
A must try with Simply prepared fish and roast white meats
A must try with Aperitif on its own
