Blackberry Plum Toasted Oak

Braise lamb shanks with rosemary and open this beside them. The 2022 picked early off a warm, drought year and kept its acidity — dark plum, savory, firm tannin.

THE STORY

About this wine

Rich-fruited, savory Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from estate vineyards in St. Helena, Mt. Veeder, and Atlas Peak. Dry and still, with succulent dark plum and berry, balanced acidity, and tannins that hold firm while staying approachable.

The 2022 Quattro Theory Cabernet Sauvignon is an estate-grown Napa Valley Cabernet produced by Trinchero Family Wine and Spirits. The vintage experienced persistent drought and warm conditions, leading to an early harvest and lower yields, but the producer reports excellent fruit quality with balanced acidity and freshness. Grapes were hand-harvested at night, optically sorted, cold-soaked for 3–5 days, fermented at moderate temperatures, and completed malolactic fermentation in tank before barrel aging.

Worth knowing

One vineyard anchors the blend: Central Park West, 22 estate acres in St. Helena, with estate mountain fruit from Mt. Veeder and Atlas Peak alongside. It was released in May 2025.
