THE STORY

About this corkscrew

The Vincere is a waiter's-style corkscrew from Vinotive, with a walnut handle and a stainless steel double-hinged lever. The spiral is non-stick coated and has five turns, the serrated foil blade folds away, and there's a bottle opener built in.

Worth knowing

Two steps, one notch each. The first brings the cork about halfway out of the bottle, and the second takes it the rest of the way.

HOW TO USE THE Vincere Waiter's Corkscrew – Walnut Wood

Using It

Foil: Cut under the lip of the bottle with the blade, lift the foil off, then fold the blade away.
Spiral: Turn it clockwise into the cork.
Lever: Rest the first notch on the lip of the bottle and pull, then move to the second notch and finish.
